Spain 8 Day Soccer Tour Itinerary

Today we depart on our amazing opportunity to travel the world, compete internationally in soccer, and learn about Spanish football. Sit back, get some rest and enjoy the in-flight service. Tomorrow we arrive in Madrid, Spain!
Upon our arrival, we are welcomed by our Spanish tour guide and take part in a driving orientation tour of Madrid, Spain’s largest city and capital. Recognized as one of the major cities in the world, Madrid is known for its international influences and one of Spain’s most famous football clubs, Real Madrid. Our tour will include visits to the Royal Palace, the official home of Spain’s royal family, the Puerta de Alcala, Retiro Park, and the Puente de Toledo. Later this afternoon, our team will take part in a training session on our own as we prepare for our upcoming friendly games.
This morning we travel to Las Rozas to visit the City of Futbol sports complex which is also home to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the training facility for the Spanish national team. We’ll enjoy a visit to the Spanish National Team Museum, and learn more about the history of soccer in Spain. After our time at the City of Futbol, we return to our hotel for a pre-game meal and time to rest before heading out to our scheduled friendly soccer match. After our match we will have a post match party with time to interact and become better friends with the team we just played.

Game One vs. TBD

This morning we begin at the Plaza of Las Ventas which is the home for bullfighting in Spain. Built in 1929, Las Ventas seats 25,000 spectators as they watch some of the greatest bullfighters in the world. Next we visit the home of the world’s most valuable sports team and Spain’s most winning football club, Real Madrid CF. Originally founded in 1902 as the Madrid Football Club, Real Madrid has won a record 10 UEFA Cups and is the reigning 2014 UEFA Cup winner. This afternoon we enjoy some leisure time to enjoy our hotel or explore Madrid on your own.
After an early breakfast we travel by high-speed train and arrive in Barcelona by late morning. Enjoy a city tour of Spain’s second largest city with visits to the Old City and the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia which is one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later this afternoon we have a training session with a professional coach from Spain. Learn the drills and skills that have taken their national team to a World Cup championship.
This morning we visit the largest European stadium and home of Barcelona FC, Camp Nou. Started in 1899, Barcelona FC was founded by a group of English, Swiss and Catalan football players and is now one of the most successful Spanish football clubs. Using the motivation from learning about one of the top clubs in the world during your afternoon training session with a professional Spanish coach.
This morning we enjoy sightseeing at the Magic Fountain and the Placa de Catalunya, Barcelona’s center square as well as visit a local shopping mall with time to explore the popular shops. This afternoon we travel to meet our local host team for a friendly match. Use the knowledge and skills learned from the recent training sessions in this competitive game.

This morning we say “Adios” to Spain and transfer to the Barcelona airport to begin our journey home.
