Today we begin our touring in San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, a country known for its coffee, year-round tropical weather, national parks, and tourism. Our touring starts with a visit to La Sabana Metropolitan Park. Originated in the 17th century, this park is considered to be the lung of the city as it sits adjacent to San Jose’s core districts. Next we visit the National Stadium, the most important soccer stadium in the country and home to the Costa Rica national football team. Later this afternoon our team will take part in a training session as we prepare for our upcoming friendly games.
This morning we depart for a scenic drive to the Turrialba Valley. Upon our arrival we will be prepped for our white water rafting expedition down the Pacuare River. During our raft, we will experience 18 miles of water with 52 rapids, face the famous Pacuare River Gorge, see the amazing 150 feet Huacas Waterfall and finish our adventure at Siquirres. After cleaning up, we travel to the San Carlos plains in the northern area of the country for our dinner and evening stay.
After an early morning pre-game breakfast, we head out for our scheduled friendly soccer match. After our match we will have a post match party with time to interact and become better friends with the team we just played. In the afternoon we depart for La Fortuna to visit the Arenal Volcano National Park, one of Costa Rica’s main natural attractions. See the amazing panoramic views, abundant wildlife, rich vegetation, and the country’s most active volcano on your guided hike before immersing in the Ecotermales hot springs. With water temperatures between 99° and 108°F, these warm waters will provide a relaxing soak before our delicious dinner.
