Today we depart on our soccer adventure to Costa Rica. The next 8 days will offer an amazing opportunity to travel the world, compete internationally in soccer, and learn about Costa Rican Football. Sit back, get some rest and enjoy the in-flight service. Tonight we arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica! Upon our arrival we are welcomed by our tour guide and transported to our hotel.
Today we begin our touring in San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica, a country known for its coffee, year-round tropical weather, national parks, and tourism. Our touring starts with a visit to La Sabana Metropolitan Park. Originated in the 17th century, this park is considered to be the lung of the city as it sits adjacent to San Jose’s core districts. Next we visit the National Stadium, the most important soccer stadium in the country and home to the Costa Rica national football team. Later this afternoon our team will take part in a training session as we prepare for our upcoming friendly games.
This morning we depart for a scenic drive to the Turrialba Valley. Upon our arrival we will be prepped for our white water rafting expedition down the Pacuare River. During our raft, we will experience 18 miles of water with 52 rapids, face the famous Pacuare River Gorge, see the amazing 150 feet Huacas Waterfall and finish our adventure at Siquirres. After cleaning up, we travel to the San Carlos plains in the northern area of the country for our dinner and evening stay.
After an early morning pre-game breakfast, we head out for our scheduled friendly soccer match. After our match we will have a post match party with time to interact and become better friends with the team we just played. In the afternoon we depart for La Fortuna to visit the Arenal Volcano National Park, one of Costa Rica’s main natural attractions. See the amazing panoramic views, abundant wildlife, rich vegetation, and the country’s most active volcano on your guided hike before immersing in the Ecotermales hot springs. With water temperatures between 99° and 108°F, these warm waters will provide a relaxing soak before our delicious dinner.

In the afternoon take part in a training session led by a local professional Costa Rican coach giving both the players and coaches a chance to learn how training is done in Costa Rica. Following practice we transfer to our hotel for dinner and our lodging for the next two nights.

This world renowned park is filled with amazing rainforest panoramas, white-sand beaches, deep blue lagoons, and extensive mangroves. Nearly 300 different birds and mammals call this park home, and all four Costa Rican monkey species also reside here. After our tour return to our hotel for a pre-game meal and time to rest before heading out to our scheduled friendly soccer match. After our match we will have a post match party with time to interact and become better friends with the team we just played.
